Cranial Base Program
The cranial (skull) base is one of the most complex regions of the human body. Vital blood vessels and major cranial nerves pass through the base of the cranium, making it a delicate area demanding precise skills for successful surgical interventions.
Under the leadership of Keith L. Black, MD, Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at Cedars-Sinai, the dedicated cranial base surgical team uses the latest imaging technology. Composed of neurotologists and neurosurgeons, these specialists have extensive experience in this area and are dedicated to treating these potentially devastating disorders, including acoustic neuroma.
